Finding Everyday Joy: My Journey from Hustle to Happy

Navigating through the hustle of daily life, seamlessly transitioning from office tasks to home chores and kids' activities, I often found myself yearning for harmony—a concept that seemed abstract and distant, just out of reach.

Now, I'm not referring to the profound joy derived from life's significant milestones, such as good health, the happiness of my husband and kids, and having food on the table. I am genuinely grateful for these major aspects of my life.

I'm talking about the everyday happiness, the ability to find joy in the little things. It's about consciously dedicating time each day to activities that bring happiness or infusing joy into routine tasks. How do you orchestrate your schedule? What's truly essential, and what persists merely out of habit? Can the KonMari method, known for tidying up spaces, be applied to our daily chores?

Why do I sometimes find myself burnt out, while on other days, I'm buzzing with joy? These are the questions I explore.

At 43 years old, I wear multiple hats—I'm a co-founder and managing partner in one of the largest accounting firms in town. I lead a team of 35 employees, managing relationships with over 150 clients. On the home front, I'm raising three incredible teenagers—two boys and a girl, aged 17, 14, and 14. They're deeply involved in sports, especially basketball, with daily practices and frequent weekend tournaments. Our household is also graced by the presence of a beautiful cat and a smart German Shepherd.

To navigate this whirlwind, I rely on elaborate colored sheets, striving not to let them dictate my life but rather to bring order to the chaos.
